Ștefan Dascălu is an immunologist at the University of Oxford and a consultant in public health policy with expertise in theoretical epidemiology. His activities and research projects focus on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Eastern Europe, predominantly in Romania. At the same time, Ștefan is actively involved in healthcare communication efforts, with emphasis on faith-based organisation engagement in public health initiatives.
Ștefan also teaches undergraduates and graduates from various medically and biologically related disciplines at the University of Oxford, where he is currently finalising his DPhil in Interdisciplinary Bioscience.
