Fighting Pandemics in a Life of Faith

The conference aims to bring together public health researchers, theologians, religious freedom experts, policy-makers, and various stakeholders to discuss the engagement of faith-based communities and religious representatives during health policy implementation. Anyone is welcome to attend but registration is recommended. The presentations and talks will revolve around faith-based community involvement during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the help of examples from various states and religions. While listening to her reading, I caught myself on an absurd thought: my Russian-speaking children had to hide in the shelter and entertain themselves by reading Russian-language poetry, because Vladimir Putin decided to destroy Russian-speaking Ukrainian cities in order “to protect the Russian-speaking population” in Ukraine.

De ce contează rezultatele privind afilierea religioasă? „Răspunsul e calibrat la nivel individual, subiectiv, de fiecare persoană în parte. Fiecare persoană e chemată să distingă apartenența ei. Nu există un instrument obiectiv exterior care să ghideze persoana către această apartenență. Adică nu există niciun fel de constrângere, nu se cere nicio dovadă, niciun document. Deci fiecare este liber să treacă ce consideră”, spune Cătălin Raiu.
