FoRB Romania aims to promote freedom of religion and faith, thus contributing to Romania’s democratization effort.
Religious freedom is the right of every person to have or to adopt a religious belief, to manifest it individually or collectively, in public or in private, through practices and rituals specific to worship, including religious education, and freedom to preserve or change their religious faith.
FoRB Romania aims to bring together expertise from scholars, politicians, representatives of religious organizations, and to develop concrete projects for the promotion of religious freedom. Together we try to develop a network of experts in the field of religious freedom, to reflect constructively on the religious life in our country and, especially, to propose to the authorities a set of public policies that strengthen religious freedom.
As a member of the OSCE Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief, having substantial academic experience in this field and working for almost 7 years in the Romanian Government as an expert on religious freedom, communication, and international relations, I am sure that I can make myself available to the public at large.
